Group Lauds Buhari Over Ocholi’s Replacement| FortNews

Kogi Professionals Forum, (KPF) have commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing Professor Stephen Ikani Ocheni to replace late James Ocholi who died in a ghastly motor accident along Kaduna – Abuja Road alongside his wife, Blessing and one of his sons a year ago.

In a statement signed by its national coordinator Comrade Ibrahim Ali and National Secretary  Dr Olusola Thomas described the appointment of Prof.Ocheni as a square peg in a square hole.

The statement said:  “Ocheni’s appointment by President Muhammadu Buhari can be described as fixing a square peg in a square hole.  “We believe he will bring his experiences in the civil and public service to bear thus repositioning any given portfolio”.

The statement stated that the choice of Prof. Ocheni by President Mohammadu Buhari is not far from the fact that Ocheni is a renowned professor, he is versatile, a workaholic and a man who is never tired of service to the nation.

“He is going to make Nigerians and the good people of Kogi state proud and we thank President Buhari for this wonderful nomination”, the statement said.

Furthermore, the statement stressed the need for critics in the state to see the nomination of Prof. Ocheni as the best thing that has happened to the people of Kogi state especially Kogi-East Senatorial District.

“ It is a known fact that Prof. Ocheni was said to have worked closely with late Prince Abubakar Audu when he contested for Kogi state gubernatorial elections on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) before his tragic death, thus suggesting that Audu’s political camp is being taken into consideration”.

“Prof. Ocheni is top of the range. His competence, integrity, and total commitment to what and whoever he believes in are never in doubt”.
