The senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial district, Ben Murray Bruce has donated relief materials to indigenes of his community in Bayelsa State.
In a statement released on Facebook by the senator and chairman, Silverbird Group, Ben stated that after series of consultations with the Chairmen of Local Councils in his zone and conferred with them on what his people need and based on their advice he decided to give out the relief materials
“I met with the Chairmen of Local Councils in my zone and conferred with them on what their people need”. Bruce said.
Some of the items given to the oil spillage victims included 500 bags of rice, 1000 Guinea brokades, 500 mattresses. Others were 1000 carton of tin tomato, 1000 wax print and many others.
“Based on their advice, I gave 500 bags of rice, 1000 Guinea brokade, 1000 wax print, 100 cartoon of tin tomato, 500 blanket, 500 mattress, 50 cartoon of soap to oil spill victims in my constituency”, the senator added.
