Reports from Maiduguri the Borno State capital suggest that Soldiers of 21Brigade are on rampage and shooting sporadically into the air in protest of what they termed ill treatment from superior officers.
Some of the soldiers threatened to kill any officer who stands in their way. They complain that superiors have been lying to them thereby putting them at risk.
Efforts to reach the Brigade Commander Col Laka could not yield fruits. And the Army Headquarters have yet to issue a report.
This is the second time Mutiny will be recorded since the way on Boko Haram. In 2014, troops of 7 Division opened fire on the convoy of their GOC after the death of 12colleagues ambushed by Boko Haram.
